The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology and motivation to work in a multicultural, high-tech environment. You will report to the Head of Plant Engineering and work closely with other discipline lead engineers, project teams, clients, and suppliers. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the overall HSE Design and Process Safety for large steel and process plants, ensuring integration of health, safety, and environmental aspects into project designs. Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, standards, and norms, focusing on hazard identification and mitigation. Preparing and reviewing HSE design documentation, including specifications, procedures, and reports. Participating in HSE design reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL sessions. Conducting risk assessments and studies like QRA and FERA. Designing Hazardous Area Classifications and fire protection measures. Designing environmental protection measures, including emission limits and noise control. Coordinating with various technical disciplines to ensure consistency in HSE design. Developing HSE engineering aspects of the Balance of Plant (BoP). Overseeing procurement processes for fire fighting equipment and ensuring vendor compliance. Supporting site teams during erection and commissioning phases. Assisting the proposal team in preparing technical proposals. Profile requirements: Master’s degree in engineering. At least 10 years of experience in HSE engineering design / process safety in complex projects, including supervision of subcontractors. Knowledge of international HSED codes, standards (API, IEC, NFPA), and hazard analysis techniques. Proficiency with Office Suite, Autocad, and Navisworks. Fluent in English. Strong interpersonal, coordination, and planning skills; ability to travel. Team-oriented, problem-solving mindset, and flexibility.
