Job Description: Reporting directly to the Green Assets Energy Management & Integration Director, the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) Originator will actively manage the Division’s Power Purchase Agreements Europe-wide. We are looking for a proactive new colleague who is ready to work in a fast-paced and result-oriented environment, with the following detailed responsibilities: - Actively originate new corporate clients for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) within the renewable energy sector in Europe - Identify key decision-makers for initial outreach and to develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and external stakeholders - Develop, and structure commercial products according to identified customer needs and internal standards - Oversee the negotiation, execution, and management of PPAs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements - Conduct PPA market analysis and monitoring regulatory developments to identify new opportunities and challenges - Propose value-enhancing strategies to strengthen the firms position in the renewable energy market - Actively coordinate with other internal MET divisions and teams (legal, finance, development etc.) to support PPA origination or new project ideas on an ad hoc basis - Represent the organisation at industry conferences and events - Frequent travel within Europe would be required as part of the job - Remaining informed and up to date on market trends and regulatory changes within the industry - Any other tasks directly related to this position Qualifications: - College/ University degree in Engineering and/ or Economics - 5 years’ experience in the energy industry, preferably fully or at least partially related to PPA activity - Demonstrable track record of originating/ managing PPAs in various geographies in Europe is a plus - Experience in managing structured products - Excellent analytical skills, structured and strategic thinking - Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills - Fluent English is required - Any additional language knowledge (e.g. Spanish, Italian, German or other European language) is an advantage Additional Information What we can offer: - Competitive remuneration package - Participation in complex project tasks - Great atmosphere with a friendly and supportive international team - Hybrid working opportunity (home office opportunity up to 2 days a week) - Further career growth opportunities
