Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Work Package Leader acting as OCC Automation Integrator in Turnkey projects for Railway/High-Speed/Metro, able to follow the activities as Senior System Engineer since the tenders and to ensure design and delivery of multi-technology automation systems worldwide in new and existing applications for the Control Centers. Mission
Provide technical expertise and leadership to a project team consisting of multiple major technical clusters associated to the Control Centers of Railway/High-Speed Systems for all portions of the turnkey project lifecycle.
Accountabilities
As key technical leader within an integrated and multi-cultural project team the OCC Design & Integration WPL is in charge to deliver a turnkey Integrated OCC System within the transportation system being accountable to perform and ensure the following activities toward the design and delivery phases:
Requirements Management for OCC Automation systems through the implementation of the Company Requirements Management Process assuring the proper requirements allocation for the Control Centers Systems and relevant requirements from the development up to the final validation.
Integration and standardization of the different technologies in the Control Centers, in collaboration with all the Control Centers Technical Clusters.
Interface Management OCC Automation systems through the implementation of the Company Interface Management Process assuring systematic and effective approach for the technical resolution of internal and external interfaces among key sub-systems in the OCC during all project phases (Interface Matrix; Interface Register; Interface Control Document).
Evolution of Integrated Automation in terms of architecture and platforms, Integrated HMI and Common data definition and Value Added Services.
Preparation and monitoring of the Document Control Plan (DCP) for the achievement of successfully delivery of the design documentation for the Integrated OCC System with particular reference to system performance, operation and maintenance analysis.
Cooperation with project development teams in charge of sw components from the bidding phase to the delivery for what concern the definition and implementation of new solutions for the Control Centers, including integration, standardization, new platforms, and value added services.
Preparation of project work plans for OCC Automation systems, ensuring an integrated project master plans/schedules. The candidate shall have a strong capability to control and measure the physical progresses during the project execution.
Identification, development, execution and progress monitoring of OCC Automation Systems Test Procedures during FAT, i-FAT/FIT, SAT, SIT phases: definition of test plan, test procedures and execution of integrated tests and issue of the consequent test reports.
Management of the sub-suppliers, when required, including the preparation of ad-hoc Purchase Technical Specifications, interfacing the Purchase Department to support the contract finalization, and monitoring the activities during the project life-cycle to ensure the expected results on time according to the project milestones.
Application of metrics to measure both project and products technical performance and key parameters to monitor the delivery of the Integrated OCC.
Participation in the definition and development of the roadmap for integration of Control Centers & Automation products and technologies with Hitachi group.
Support to Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Planner and Commissioning Manager in achieving the final approval of the Integrated OCC System, including the identification of improvements, risk mitigations, and other engineering opportunities.
Capitalization and sharing of knowledge (e.g. best practice, lesson learned).
Dissemination of integrated OCC technologies vs Company impacted team, supporting sharing of technological needs with other department managers.
Support the Ergonomic Design and Human Factor Analysis of the Integrated OCC, including the layouts arrangements and main furniture for the Control Centers. .
Required Skills/Knowledge
The candidate must have/acquire a sufficient knowledge of the relevant technologies mentioned before and following skill:
10+ years of experience on Railway/High-Speed/Metro Projects, with competencies in signalling/TMS
Strong problem solving background
High level of abstract and critical thinking and ability to simplify and articulate complex issues

Education/Qualifications
Engineering scientific degree, with preference in computer science, electronics, automation, telecommunications
Languages
English: Upper intermediate (written a spoken). Any additional language would be a plus.
