Here at CCH Tagetik, we are looking for a Product Software Engineering Manager with strong leadership ability, a pragmatic outlook, and experience in growing teams and people to join our Development and Operations teams.
As a Manager, you will use both your leadership and technical expertise to guide and enable diverse teams of highly engaged engineers. You’ll provide coaching, mentorship, and direction for 5/6 teams. You should have the skills, experience, wisdom, patience, and determination to work with the team to deliver high-quality software that meets our customers' needs and to continually improve the capacity and capabilities of the team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Translate business needs into capability build-up and hiring plans within your teams, playing a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
* Provide regular, caring, and direct feedback to team members.
* Help team members set and achieve career growth goals.
* Foster a diverse and inclusive working environment where everyone can thrive.
* Identify blockers, problems, or red flags, and ensure timely action is taken to address them.
* Set performance goals aligned with employee expectations and company needs, and monitor progress through periodic check-ins, feedback, and support.
* Communicate organizational vision, strategy, goals, and procedures clearly to your teams.
* Collaborate in the recruiting process (candidate screening and interviews) and help define team composition and organizational design.
Qualifications and Skills:
* At least a couple of years of experience leading people.
* Solid understanding of application and system development and Agile practices.
* Refined prioritization skills to focus on impactful tasks.
* Strong understanding of how to cultivate a thriving engineering culture.
* Experience in coaching and developing teams' careers.
* Data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Ability to drive sustainable growth of the engineering organization by finding, retaining, and developing top talent.
* Ability to implement evaluation criteria and career planning for engineers, balancing technical and leadership skills.
* Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Fluent in Italian and English.
