Supports onboard electrical operations regarding any electrical systems and equipment issues that may require a higher level of expertise in this specific field such as automation, electronic and electrical engineering. /p h3DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES: /h3 ul liProvide support to the Technical Superintendent(s) in their day to day activities for any electrical issue that may require a higher level of expertise in the specific field. /li liVerify and approve ship's requisitions for spares, service and consumables within area of responsibility, issuing as well shoreside requests of materials and service. /li liAssist the Vice President Electrical Services with planning both yearly and long‑term maintenance budgets for the vessels, closely monitoring monthly progress of relevant expenses. /li liParticipate in planning and preparation, for the areas competence, dry‑dock specifications, following ship's repair and maintenance during refit works, as applicable. /li liCooperate with the Vice President Electrical Services and Technical Superintendents for the preparation of plans for modification/updates, to be implemented on existing vessels due to new upcoming safety regulations. /li liMaintain active involvement in structuring, implementing, and monitoring the company’s safety management systems within the area of assigned responsibilities. Participates in the company incident response plan. /li liMust be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the SEMS, and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for position. /li liPerform other job related functions as assigned. /li liTravel to dry docs, on ships: 3 months a year. /li /ul h3KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: /h3 ul liBachelor's Degree, Technical/Electrical Engineering degree or related field of study; or equivalent combination of experience and skills. /li liMinimum 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
