Core Mission: As a core member of our European business development team, you willlead energy storage project development (from greenfield to Ready to Build Stage) anddrive investment/financing activities in Europe. Leverage your expertise in marketdynamics, policies, grid compliance, and financial modeling to identify opportunities,mitigate risks, and ensure ROI.Key Responsibilities:1. Monitor and analyze electricity market structures, trading, pricing mechanisms,ancillary service demands, grid reserve services and price trends; 2. Understanding the impact of regulatory requirements and various applications(trading, balancing mechanism, ancillary services and grid reserve services) oneach project business case; 3. Identify, screen, and evaluate energy storage project opportunities (greenfield,brownfield, co-location) in pre-RTB or RTB stages; Developing compelling propositions and competitive bids; Supporting day-to-day business case development activities of projects until theclosure of deals; Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, grid operators, landowners, and consultants. Lead due diligence processes; Develop, build,review, and optimize financial models (LCOE, NPV, IRR) for projects, including sensitivity analysis and risk assessment with the support of supply chain, finance and technical team; Establishinvestment/financing partnerships with banks, funds, infrastructure investors, energy firms, and power traders; Supporting corporate finance team to raise debt on portfolio of projects; Supporting preparing high quality internal Invest Committee papers; Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between project teams and internal departments; Developing sales and marketing materials, speaking at and attending conferencesas appropriate; 13. Developing strategic partnership to support scaling of the business.Requirements:1. Essential competencies:- Minimum 8 years in commercial/business development in energy sector(B2B) preferably in energy storage or renewable sectors.Strong commercial skills with legal contracts and project financingStrong organization skills, team and good attention to detailExperience in energy storage and renewable sectorsKnowledge of the UK, Europe, Australia and Asia-Pacific energy landscapeDesire to work in a fast moving, high pressure and entrepreneurialenvironment2. Skills:- Mastery of financial modeling and investment analysis (ability tobuild/complex project models).- Proven track record in energy storage project development, M&A, orasset rotation.- Advance in PowerPoint- Advance Excel skills- Advantage: Python skills3. Communication: Exceptional communication skills, negotiation and stakeholdermanagement skills, capable of presenting financial models and sales pitchesEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or finance related fields.Language: Fluent in English (written/spoken); additional European languages orMandarin are a plus.6. Mobility: Ability to travel frequently between China, UK and Europeinternationally
