AWS seeks a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) for our Milan-area data centers. This role leads physical security operations across multiple sites, reporting directly to the Cluster Security Manager.

Responsibilities
* Security Operations Management
o Manage on-site physical security operations for Data Centers
o Oversee access control systems, guard force operations, and vendor contracts
o Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and incident reporting
o Generate and analyze security metrics
o Implement and maintain CCTV monitoring systems and media security protocols
o Ensure protection of customer data through robust security measures
* Process and Policy Management
o Implement new security processes while maintaining compliance with Amazon policies
o Develop and execute security plans for special events
o Create evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols
o Establish benchmarks for security performance
o Design customized policies to meet internal and external regulations
* Relationship Management
o Build and maintain partnerships with internal teams (DC Engineering, DC Operations)
o Coordinate with external partners (Vendors, Emergency Services)
o Supervise security contractors and monitor their performance
o Collaborate with global security teams
* Project Management
o Deliver security projects within specified timelines and budgets
o Provide regular status updates to stakeholders
o Identify and address safety and security deficiencies
o Conduct data analysis to support risk assessments
o Travel to other geographic regions as required
Basic qualifications
* Experience
o 5+ years in public or private security industry
o Corporate / DC security experience with a global company
o Proven track record in business continuity and operational security
o Experience writing and publishing security standards
* Technical Knowledge
o Strong working knowledge of physical security systems and components
o Expertise in security metrics and trend analysis
o Ability to develop and deliver security awareness training programs
o Understanding of crisis operations and risk management
* Management Skills
o Experience managing daily operations and strategic program planning
o Track record of building international and cross-functional relationships
o Ability to work independently and lead global teams
o Demonstrated project management capabilities
