FECC R&D; Engineer Junior/Test Assistant
Location: Piacenza (PC), Italy.
Department: Fives Combustion BU – European Combustion Research Center.
We are seeking a junior R&D; Engineer to support combustion test activities and develop future burners with low emissions and low-carbon energy solutions.
Responsibilities
Organize and plan short-term combustion tests in collaboration with the FECC manager.
Manage the supply chain related to the tests.
Participate in the tests: data collection implementation, record keeping, and analysis.
Manage the IT for the data collection system and test rig automation.
Participate in the maintenance program: planning and supply chain management.
Ensure safety during combustion test performance.
Qualifications
Junior engineer or experienced technician with background in thermal/mechanical/instrumentation & control/electrical fields.
Basic knowledge in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
Software: Microsoft Office.
Languages: Italian – fluent speaking, reading, writing; English – speaking, reading, writing.
Technical curiosity and initiative sense.
Ability to analyze and summarize information; strong verbal and communication skills.
Additional welcome skills: PLC/HMI environment (Siemens, Schneider...), supervision environment; CAD design software; IT data management; French – speaking, reading, writing.
