Our approach ensures a swift journey, leading you hand in hand towards signing your next career step.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORJoin our client's international team in Rome (Anagnina Area), supporting the FLEX mission's Core Ground Segment within a major European space programme.We are looking for a Ground Segment Monitoring Technician with 2–3 years of experience in systems or service monitoring. You will support monitoring activities within the Ground Segment systems, detect issues, and ensure smooth data flow and operations.For this role, relocation to Rome is mandatory for candidates living far from the area.A B2 level of English is required due to daily interactions with ESA teams and international stakeholders.YOUR TASKS
Monitor Ground Segment systems and servicesDetect, analyze and respond to system alarms and anomaliesCheck system performance (data flow, completeness, latency)Support investigation of incidents and escalate when neededMaintain operational logs and contribute to incident reportingProduce regular operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly)Collaborate with service management and engineering teams to ensure smooth operationsLiaise with ESA and Ground Segment partners when operational issues arise
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in systems monitoring or service monitoringExperience working in operational IT environmentsUnderstanding of monitoring tools and operational workflowsAbility to analyze issues and troubleshootGood knowledge of LinuxBasic shell scripting knowledgeGood English communication skills

Familiarity with DockerExperience in Earth Observation or Ground Segment environments
