Looking to be part of the development of a major global player in mountain sports? Founded in the French Alps, Rossignol has been inspiring the mountain experience since 1907. We continue our heritage through the development of our ski, mountain bike, outdoor equipment, and textile ranges. Our ambition is to be the benchmark for mountain sports in both summer and winter. At the heart of Milan, in an international context, we are looking for a Senior Designer (M / W) ! Join our exciting journey and let's create the most exceptional outdoor experiences in all seasons! Your role is to design part of the global product assortment under the soft goods department. You will propose creative ideas and design solutions, work on trend research and final sketches. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing the approval process of fabrics and trims, managing collection overviews, and preparing for key meetings. You will report to the Head of Design and work closely with the design team, product development team, and merchandising teams on the designated brief, ensuring alignment with the brand's seasonal direction and business needs. Your missions will include : Driving the product strategy of Rossignol by fully understanding consumer needs and trends. Leading and driving multiple men's and women's seasonal/category designs from conceptualization to finished products. Designing medium to high complexity products with a refined aesthetic sensibility, leveraging your experience, passion, and technical expertise. Inspiring innovative design ideas with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and excellence. Managing the planning, implementation, and analysis of merchandise briefs and line plans, ensuring creative designs align with branding guidelines and commercial objectives. Reviewing and approving materials, colors, and final styles based on input from Design, Merchandising, and Product Development teams. Expanding on product strategies to align with both seasonal briefs and the brand’s long-term vision. Presenting your work confidently to large audiences and engaging in constructive, objective feedback exchanges. Staying updated with outdoor industry developments, new technologies, and design techniques. Communication : Clearly communicating ideas, plans, and solutions to stakeholders and team members to ensure understanding, alignment, and support for problem-solving efforts. Resource Management : Utilizing available resources efficiently and effectively to implement solutions, including managing time, personnel, and tools. Team Collaboration : Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging open communication and mutual respect. Your skills to succeed : Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field. Proven experience as an outdoor designer, with at least 3 years in a designer role. Strong initiative and project ownership with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Clo 3D is a plus. Deep knowledge of technical outerwear and sportswear garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes. A creative leader capable of working independently, making decisive design choices, and delivering high-quality results. Strong ownership of your craft, with the ability to translate concepts into precise product executions using available tools. Excellent understanding of fashion/outdoor trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and a creative mindset with a passion for the outdoor world. In-depth knowledge and passion for technical products such as ski-wear, hiking, and trail running products.
