The Strength and Conditioning Coach position offers a unique opportunity to work with the US Army, supporting Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) initiative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and administering strength and conditioning training programs compliant with industry standards.
Key responsibilities include ensuring program quality assurance, participating in regular meetings with the Brigade Performance Director, and documenting Soldier/unit progression. Additionally, the coach will manage equipment operations, report deficiencies, and support the Lead SCC in developing and managing strength and conditioning programs.
This role requires a strong understanding of physical training programs, including design, implementation, and oversight. The coach must also be able to communicate effectively with BDE, BN, and Company leadership, as well as establish and maintain relationships with units and Soldiers.
A successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in any field and a minimum of three years of relevant SCC work experience within the last 5 years. Alternatively, they may have a minimum of two years of relevant SCC work and one year of internship/graduate work experience or additional pre-approval by the COR-RA. An active/current certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) OR from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) is required.
The ability to handle loads up to 45 pounds and meet the physical demands of outdoor training in various environments is essential. Travel up to 10% may be required to support geographically dispersed units.
