Position
Purpose of the position:
Identify, analyse, plan and monitor strategic investments in production, infrastructure and technology, ensuring consistency with industrial goals and the company budget.
Main responsibilities:
• Analyse investment requirements in collaboration with technical, production and management departments
• Define investment proposals with relative cost-benefit analysis, ROI assessment, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and payback period
• Draw up technical and economic business cases for internal investment assessment.
• Develop logic, criteria and models for defining investment priorities, based on economic, operational and strategic impacts
• Develop “what-if” scenarios to assess the impact of different decision-making scenarios and their influence on internal technological processes
• Develop simulation models for systems such as production lines, work centres and warehouses, taking into account real constraints such as capacity, breakdowns, shifts, setup times and resources
• Support the authorisation and documentation process for investment requests and approvals
• Collaborate with investment PMs to verify work progress, compliance with timelines, costs and functional objectives.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, variance analyses and corrective proposals.
• Contribute to the definition of the company's multi-year investment plan.
• Support audit activities, post-investment analysis and cost capitalisation in accordance with internal accounting standards.
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering (preferably management, mechanical or industrial) or economics with a solid technical background.
• 3-5 years in similar roles, preferably in structured manufacturing companies
• Experience in managing industrial investment projects
• Knowledge of economic and financial investment evaluation techniques (NPV, IRR, TCO, payback)
• Basic knowledge of industrial and plant processes
• Proficiency in project management tools
• Excellent knowledge of Excel; knowledge of ERP (SAP or similar) is welcome
•Good knowledge of technical English.
