Lead maintenance engineer

As Maintenance Engineering Lead you will respond to the Head Of Department and be part of the Energy Carriers Business Line within the EPC Maintenance and Inspection Engineering Department.

Job includes plant reliability analysis, equipment criticality assessment and maintenance plan development. Scope of the work involves activities ranging from acknowledging of process-related conditions and evaluating the equipment detail design. Maintenance Engineering Lead (MEL) is to make sure that the project detailed design is safe and sound from an operation and maintenance point of view, complies with international standards and meets the requirements arising from contract and technical specification therein referred to.

In performing his job, the MEL liaises with client representatives, partners, suppliers, and the project team.

MEL regularly reports to the Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance Manager the status of the Maintenance Engineering assessment, highlighting areas of concern.


Responsibilities

* Supporting the Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance Manager in reviewing the project technical documentation in respect to the contractual requirements.
* Developing the maintenance engineering execution plan.
* Gathering maintenance related design data from technical disciplines and vendors to build a comprehensive plant asset register which includes all maintainable equipment.
* Preparing the Maintainable Equipment List (MEL) hierarchically organized by functional location which in turn refers to physical assets.
* Conducting operability and maintainability review.
* Performing mechanical handling assessment.
* Conducting equipment criticality analysis (ECA) to rank items listed in MEL in view of safety, environment, and production requirements.
* Defining maintenance strategies, procedures, and tasks according to either the original equipment manufacturer data or the results of the performed Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis.
* Preparing operational performance standard.
* Preparing CMMS loading templates.
* Preparing required documentation to attend meetings with Company, project team or vendors.


Qualification

Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualification.


Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.


Languages

English level B2/C1.


Technical Skills

* Failure Mode and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) methodology (advanced knowledge required).
* Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology (RCM certification is a plus).

Fully aware of Oil & Gas plant related design documentation and drawings, including 3D models, plot plans, P&IDs, PFDs, line lists, GA drawings, mechanical data sheets, vendor manuals, procedures, etc.


IT Skills

Expert in MS Office package. Ability to work with 3D software applications, i.e., Naviswork Freedom and PDF editor, i.e., Power PDF Advanced. Basic knowledge of Naviswork 3D Model software considered a plus.


Mobility

* Availability to travel for short periods (1 week to 1 month).
* Availability to be relocated abroad in both International Saipem Engineering Centers or on construction sites.

Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad for short periods to engineering centers, suppliers, or construction sites.
