Mechanical Engineer Position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. Working closely with R&D scientists, the successful candidate will integrate main process equipment into the plant layout, define mechanical features, and interact with suppliers to manage technical offers and orders. The role involves supporting and updating the Plant 3D Model for layouts and piping, and overseeing the mechanical development and scalability of the pilot plant.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyze plant mechanical feasibility using conceptual 3D models to ensure performance, safety, and standards compliance.
* Select static and rotating equipment, define operating and maintenance procedures.
* Assist in defining constructability schemes and sequences.
* Develop project specifications, bid packages, and work execution plans.
* Align vendor offers, evaluate bids, and coordinate subcontractor descriptions.
* Define mechanical and piping design basis.
* Support development of company standards and calculation models.
* Manage mechanical system integration and the Pilot Plant 3D model.
* Perform piping stress analysis.
* Support permit applications and submit documentation to authorities.
* Follow up on orders with vendors and assist in commissioning and startup.
* Collaborate with external partners, including research institutions.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
* Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience with material ordering, technical follow-up, and vendor relations.
* Proficiency with CAD mechanical software (Solid Edge preferred), AutoCAD LT, and MS Office.
* Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
* Fluent in professional English.
* Enthusiastic about expanding technological expertise.
* Knowledge of vacuum systems and carbon capture technology is advantageous.
