PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Within CHASSIS Purchasing team, the resource will be responsible for managing a complete product line in terms of both operative and strategical tasks.
This includes:
Suppliers selection and sourcing for assigned commodities. This includes RFQ activity, analysis of supplier responses and quotes and placing blanket purchase orders;
Leading and facilitation of pricing negotiations
Develop / implement supply base management strategies both regionally and globally that lead to lowest total cost in terms of quality, lead time, delivery, and pricing;
Support cost savings initiatives for commodity base;
Support and resolve supplier issues such as accounts payable resolution, past due deliveries, and risks related to production lines and aftermarket customers.
Support negotiation of basic contracts (GT&C, Supply Agreements, Development Agreements)
Support Material Expediting for short term delivery issue and Capacity Management for mid/long term capacity issue
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred) or Economics degree or similar degree
Good analytical xrdztoy and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate as an effective team member
Good communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in engineering, operations, sales, supply chain
Proven track record of effective Purchasing management in a manufacturing environment
Experience with program and project management
Demonstrated leadership skills with good ability to influence
Result driven and action oriented
Confidence and ability to interface with senior stakeholders, internally and externally
Fluent in English, any other language is an asset
