Our ambitious electrification and software strategies and the creation of an innovative ecosystem of strategic, game-changing partnerships are driving our transformation to a sustainable mobility tech company. /ph3Job Description /h3pThe Engine BTE-Friction-Thermal Virtual Analysis engineer will work within Propulsion Systems Virtual Engineering team and collaborate with Product Release Centers (PRCs and other stakeholders) and with other Stellantis cross‑functional teams to support product development and methodological activities through CAE in the area of Engine Brake Thermal Efficiency (BTE), Engine Friction and Engine Thermal analysis. This position reports to the Global CAE Manager of the discipline. Robust technical, interpersonal and team leadership skills are essential. /ph3Activities /h3ulliEngine 1D/0D Fuel Economy assessment. /liliEngine Structural Thermal Model (STM) development. /liliEngine Lube circuit model development. /liliCranktrain friction model development. /liliValvetrain friction model development. /liliPiston Group friction model development. /liliTiming Chain/Belt friction model development. /liliBalance Shaft Module (BSM) friction model development. /liliFront End Auxiliary Drive (FEAD) friction model development. /liliElectrical-Hydraulic-Mechanical devices models development. /liliPerform optimization analysis aimed to ensure the best trade‑off over performances. /liliExecute detailed studies including root cause analysis on issues, identification and validation of enablers for meeting the target. /liliConversion of detailed models to FR (Fast Running) and RT (Real Time) ones. /liliModels' connection/coupling for Integrated System Simulation. /liliDevelop innovative solution for Fuel Economy, Friction, Thermal improvement. /liliPerform correlation activities aimed to demonstrate the virtual analysis confidence level. /liliCoordinate execution of CAE activities for propulsion systems program(s) including timely delivery of status vs target and proactive identification / validation of enablers. /liliTechnical synthesis, reporting and communication with clear takeaways, executive summary and, if needed, risk mitigation plan. /liliDirect interaction with STLA stakeholders for all the steering activities: input data collection, assumptions validation, results revision and communication. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliMaster of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Applied Physics, or related Engineering field). /liliThorough knowledge of the English language including both written and oral communication. /liliExperience in powertrain virtual analysis using commercial codes such as Gamma Technology GT‑Suite. /liliGeneral knowledge of commercial CAD packaging including NX and Teamcenter. /liliExperience in CFD-1D and multibody analysis, focused on conventional and hybrid ICE. /liliEffective communication skills and analytical thinking. /liliFunctional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). /liliAbility to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and uncertainty. /liliExcellent work ethic, organization and communication skills. /li /ulh3EEO Statement /h3pAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
