Posted Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11:00 PM The Field Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordination interfaces with the relevant authorities and with subcontractors, who execute the transport permitting and road modification design activities. The coordinator will act as client’s primary reporting and escalation point for schedule, risk, and approval status for transport permits and road modifications. In addition, the coordinator shall act as client’s representative towards local authorities and entities during the time of deployment to mobilization of client’s personnel to construction site. Task and Responsibilities
Authority interface with support and process facilitation
Support client’s appointed subcontractors. Responsibility for formal communication with Italian authorities with subcontractors Act as a local facilitating advisor, supporting timely and coordinated authority interactions Monitor authority related activities and follow ups related to: any specific local requirements and regulations
Support clarification of authority requirements and approval processes, assist in resolving issues or delays in coordination with the supplier and client Attend meetings with authorities when requested by the sub-contractor or client, without representing the responsible party Advisory support of subcontractors
Provide advisory support to client’s appointed subcontractors during the preparation of
Transport permit applications Road modification designs and associated engineering studies Advise subcontractors on authority feedback and potential response strategies. Drafting, submission, and approval of formal documentation is owned by subcontractors Identify and inform about potential permitting risks, or misalignments from an authority perspective Ensure timely and successful obtainment of all required permits for transport and site mobilization Transport and road modification permit tracking Maintain a consolidated overview of:
Required permits and approvals Permit timelines and status
Proactively identify risk related to permitting, authority constraints, and road infrastructure limitations. Propose mitigation actions in coordination with subcontractors and, where appropriate, authorities. Reporting, communication, documentation
Act as the local and trusted reporting point to client’s Outbound Logistics and Project Management representatives Provide regular, structured updates of transport and road modification permits Escalate critical issues requiring client direction or decision in a timely manner Attend project coordination meetings, as required. Maintain organized records of authority correspondence, permit submissions, and approvals Support documentation handover to client prior to transport execution.
Qualifications and Requirements
Relevant experience in transport permitting and authority coordination in Italy Experience in Italy supporting transport permitting and road modification approvals for large or oversized transports Good practical knowledge of Italian permitting processes and authority requirements at municipal, provincial, regional, and road authority levels Demonstrated ability to act as a local advisor and facilitator, supporting suppliers while maintaining clear role boundaries Experience working on infrastructure, energy, wind, or large industrial projects Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and identify permitting risks proactively Native or fluent verbal and writing skills in Italian, fluent verbal and writing skills in English Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills Established professional network with relevant Italian authorities is a plus Past experience working with Azienda Nazionale Autonoma delle Strade (ANAS) is a plus
