General Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled wireless signal processing engineer to join our team and contribute to the design of next-generation IoT chips. The core responsibilities include designing, implementing, and simulating signal processing algorithms for the physical layer in wireless IoT products. This role encompasses multiple areas : architecture design, implementation of system models, implementation of algorithms for DSP or hardware platforms, and performance validation. You will work closely with DSP, software, and hardware teams to consider relevant constraints and design optimized signal processing algorithms. Additionally, you will assist the validation team with performance validation and troubleshooting in lab and field environments. Successful applicants will be creative, enthusiastic innovators who are comfortable defining the implementation of various system blocks.
Responsibilities :
* Design and simulate baseband algorithms for 3GPP 4G / 5G IoT products
* Develop and support signal processing algorithms such as timing / frequency estimation and compensation, channel estimation and equalization, HARQ, automatic gain control, power measurements, PSS / SSS synchronization, IQ mismatch compensation, etc.
* Implement signal processing algorithms in floating-point and fixed-point arithmetic
* Collaborate with software and IC design teams to develop optimized algorithms and validate implementations
* Develop specifications and design documents
* Perform system modeling according to 3GPP and internal requirements
* Support investigations into performance issues both in the lab and in the field
* Analyze and troubleshoot system performance issues and propose solutions
Minimum Qualifications :
* Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
* Industry experience of 10+ years in relevant fields such as wireless communication, signal processing, 3GPP LTE / NR standards
* Proficiency in programming languages : C++, MATLAB, and Python
* Experience with Verilog or VHDL is advantageous
Additional Qualifications :
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience
* Equivalent experience will be considered if the candidate demonstrates the ability to fulfill the principal duties and possesses the required competencies.
