Autonomous Vehicle Testing Engineer ATE is a globally expanding company seeking experienced engineers to manage technical aspects of complex projects in Automotive and Defense. Responsibilities
Prepare and organize field test activities for autonomous and teleoperation systems. Arrange necessary materials for test activities. Set up vehicles and remote control stations for autonomous and teleoperation driving tests. Configure radio communication systems and verify signal coverage. Verify correct operation of safety systems, sensors, robotization kits, and autonomous driving subsystems. Calibrate sensors used for ADAS and autonomous driving systems. Support safe execution of test activities. Carry out vehicle teleoperation activities and support autonomous driving tests. Collect data and document activities performed. Prepare bug and issue reports to support the software release cycle. Support vehicle robotization activities and verify correct operation of installed systems. Coordinate with the workshop for vehicle preparation and maintenance. Define test cases to verify requirements and analyze performance of different autonomous driving modules.
Requirements
Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related disciplines. Previous experience in defining test procedures and writing test reports in the automotive domain. Knowledge of the V‑Cycle development model. Good English language skills. Good familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of CAN Bus and Ethernet networks. Experience using laboratory instrumentation such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and bench power supplies. Experience with tools such as CANalyzer and PCAN. Excellent teamwork and problem‑solving skills. Driver’s licence Category B. Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System). Familiarity with Git and GitLab. Experience with Wireshark or other traffic monitoring tools. 3D design and printing skills. Interest in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and emerging technologies. Innovation mindset and continuous improvement orientation.
