About the Position:
We are looking for a New Developments and Packaging Engineer to join the Green Technologies Logistics team, reporting directly to the GT Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. This position is based at our office in Venaria, Italy. As the New Developments and Packaging Engineer at Marelli, you will focus on designing and implementing packaging solutions for new products.

Responsibilities:
* During the RFQ Phase: define, propose and calculate SC concepts (inbound/outbound and plant internal flows – MIFA/VSM, packaging specifications, transport frequency, stock, surface, investment, MOD-MOI, IT information flow with customer and supplier) in line with Group Guidelines and Standards; define packaging cards for Tier 2 Suppliers / finished goods; define technical specs for Tier2 Suppliers / FG Packaging; participate in packaging sourcing, evaluating supplier proposals from a technical perspective.
* During the Concept Phase: support Program Team (PUR, PM) in the definition of SC concepts in coordination with Plant Logistics for new awarded programs.
* During Product & Process Development: coordinate, define and validate with Plant Logistics the Logistics specifications (SLA), packaging.
* During the Industrialization: support Program Team and Plant Logistics in deployment/transitions of Logistics concepts; with support of Material Management ensure Plant Logistics coordinates component delivery, ERP parameter entry, follow-up of transportation deployment, sign off on Service Level Agreement, and establish EDI.
* During the Process Validation: ensure Plant Logistics coordinates internal flow deployment, Logistics Team training, spare parts flows and ramp-up preparation; identify critical suppliers, organize visits and define corrective actions; maintain tracking of Logistics costs and optimize to stay within budget.
* During the Ramp up: identify discrepancies, coordinate with Plant Logistics for corrective actions to secure ramp up and serial life; develop and execute a Logistics Program Scorecard to track on-time delivery of logistics work packages; attend Program Review Meetings and Sourcing Committee reviews; train Program Teams on SC standards and best practices; collaborate with Group/Region operations to standardize and leverage synergies across new and ongoing programs.
Qualifications:
* You are an engineer with solid experience in packaging and logistics.
* You have direct experience in RFQ processes and packaging design.
* You are skilled in ERP tools management, advanced in Excel and MS tools, and able to work with Power BI.
* Excellent Italian and English; additional languages are highly appreciated.
