Job Title: Senior Pastry Operations ManagerAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Pastry Operations Manager to oversee our pastry department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency in all food items prepared.Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate the selection, training, and development of employees in the pastry department through effective management and leadership skills.- Assist in planning and developing menus for the hotel, submitting innovative proposals to ensure the correct preparation and presentation of consistent quality for all food items prepared through production and demonstration.- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control measures.- Ensure sanitation standards, local, state, and federal regulations are met, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.- Set up control systems to assure quality and portion consistency and develop purchasing specifications, monitor and review operating criteria.- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.- Host daily briefings with the Sous Chef, Pastry, Catering, and F&B teams and attend assigned meetings.Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need:- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in operational kitchen experience with a diverse culinary background and proven track record in the pastry section.- Management experience and a culinary qualification.- High standards of professional demeanor with exceptional communication and presentation skills.- Legal right to work in Italy.What We Offer:In return for your expertise and commitment, we offer:- Learning and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.- Employee engagement and recognition events and activities to foster a positive work environment.- Complimentary laundry services for business attire.- Employee rates for accommodations, dining, and leisure activities within our group hotels and facilities.
