We are seeking an EMEA Controlling Manager in the medical devices industry.
Reporting directly to the CFO EMEA, the Manager Controlling provides global financial planning and analysis to support profit and productivity improvements for the HFG business. This role partners with business unit leaders and senior managers across all locations and functions through management and delivery of financial reporting and analysis initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing the monthly forecast and Quarterly Business Review for all functional areas.
2. Collaborate closely with the accounting manager to ensure a solid closing process for assigned legal entities.
3. Participate in annual strategic planning and budgeting, including assumptions setting, spreadsheet modeling, consolidation, analysis, and presentation preparation.
4. Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses to support senior management decisions.
5. Monitor orders, sales, and profit against targets weekly.
6. Update cost and expense trend reports and analyze variations to ensure alignment with forecasts.
7. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of internal controlling reports for supported regions.
8. Manage working capital and department spending analysis.
9. Extract financial data from various finance and information systems as required.
10. Serve as the future SAP Key User for SAP integration.
11. Establish controlling standards regarding reporting and analysis for the region.
12. Immediately inform the EMEA CFO of issues, delays, errors, irregularities, or significant adjustments or journal entries.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience with PC and ERP systems, with SAP mandatory.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel, including data mining.
3. Experience in preparing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and reporting in a global environment; manufacturing experience preferred.
4. Successful FP&A management experience, ideally in manufacturing and/or the medical devices industry.
5. Advanced experience with SAP and ONESTREAM, including implementation projects.
6. Strong business partnering skills and commercial insight.
7. Industrial cost knowledge and manufacturing insight.
8. Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.
