Based in Fiorenzuola d’Arda (Emilia Romagna), this role leads master scheduling and production planning within a dynamic Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) environment. You will drive alignment between customer demand, engineering milestones, and production capacity while leading a team of planners and ensuring timely delivery of high‑value, complex orders in a fast‑paced, evolving context.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Define, own, and continuously improve the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment with business priorities and contractual commitments
- Manage and balance a significant backlog, ensuring timely and efficient order execution over mid‑and long‑term horizons
- Develop high‑level production plans in collaboration with Inside Sales and Engineering, guiding detailed planning execution by the team
- Lead, coach, and coordinate a team of six schedulers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and performance
- Align production plans with available capacity, proactively identifying gaps and driving adjustments to meet demand
- Act as a key interface across functions (Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management) to ensure alignment and responsiveness to changes
- Monitor and communicate progress on critical and high‑value orders to senior leadership, including global stakeholders
- Own and enhance planning KPIs (e.g., On‑Time Delivery, schedule adherence, backlog health), driving data‑based decisions and continuous improvement
- Champion Lean principles and structured problem‑solving approaches to improve planning effectiveness, reduce non‑value‑added activities, and support digitalization and automation initiatives
- Coordinate order release to production at the right time, ensuring execution readiness and flow optimization

For This Role, You Will Need
- Proven experience in Master Scheduling and Production Planning, ideally within an Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with a strong focus on engagement and performance
- Experience managing complex planning scenarios with frequent changes, exceptions, and engineering revisions
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Solid understanding of production capacity planning and backlog management
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and data‑driven decision‑making
- Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with strong prioritization and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Experience in industries such as food & beverage, oil & gas, or mechanical/electromechanical manufacturing
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, including flow, leveling, and root cause analysis tools
- Experience working within multinational or highly structured organizations
- Exposure to digitalization, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Compensation
The salary range for this role is 49,000 to 91,000 euros annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
For roles covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the applicable salary range and pay structure are set by that agreement, including how pay levels and progression are defined.
