The Mechanical Designer, reporting to the Team Leader, will mainly take care of the design of complete mechanical systems, including assemblies, subassemblies, electrical and mechanical parts related to contactless measurement systems, both for railway and steelworks application; he will have to elaborate and maintain such project documentation as the bill of materials and related documents.
It is mandatory the compliance of the systems to international technical standards and customer’s requirements.
Assuring the compliance of the design to project requirements and appliable legal regulations and standards.
Respect of project milestones as agreed with the PM and the team leader.
Elaboration of 3D models
Collaboration with other team members (including optical, electrical and electronical engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces, etc.
Collaboration with other departments (Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Control, etc.) in order to guarantee the required quality of parts and products
Assuring design compliance to project requirements and appliable legal regulations and standards.
Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
~3-5 years of experience in manufacturing processes, machined parts, welded and milled parts, sheet metal parts of medium complexity
~3-5 years of experience with 2D and 3D CAD (PTC Creo preferred)
~3-5 years of experience with PLM/ERP systems (PTC Windchill preferred)
~ Knowledge of FEM analysis appreciated
~ Good knowledge of written and spoken English, at least B2 level
