Overview
Amazon Mexico Fulfillment Operations is seeking a Process Engineer (PE) to work in the ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence Systems) team. The PE team is a group of operational leaders driving process stabilization, standardization and continuous improvement for the Amazon Fulfillment Network. This team establishes best-in-class network performance across process paths, accelerates implementation of technological advancements, and strengthens the technical acumen and process knowledge for operations leaders across the FC network. As Amazon Mexico grows its FC footprint and infuses new talent, the team ensures operations teams have the functional expertise to deliver gains from technology advances and network-wide process improvements. The team drives process control and shifts toward consistent performance across shifts, builds, and regions to deliver strong OP performance. The team works closely with the ACES PM, launch teams, operations, engineering and reliability and maintenance (RME) teams to improve input metrics for each process path by prioritizing resources to address gaps in these metrics. Location can be either Toluca or CDMX; however, the role requires frequent travel between both locations. Key responsibilities
Lead strategic process improvement initiatives across multiple FCs Design and implement network-wide standardization projects Develop and optimize SOPs for maximizing operational efficiency Drive data-based decision making through advanced analytics Partner with FC leadership to execute improvement strategies Coach and develop operational teams on process excellence Lead cross-functional projects with Engineering, Learning, and Operations teams Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) Experience in business process improvement, Lean or Six Sigma Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments Speak, write, and read fluently in English Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards), or experience applying KPIs to analyses Six Sigma Black Belt, or MBA Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards Experience in automation or monitoring frameworks, deployment or development Experience in project management including resource planning, scheduling, status reporting and task prioritization Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
