Senior Instrumentation Engineer
Responsible for activities related to instrumentation within a project or across projects. Acts as Discipline Leader, guiding a team of instrumentation engineers in the development of deliverables and execution of activities according to the project schedule, safety, and technological standards.
Reports to the Project Manager and Process Automation Manager, and to the Head of Department for resource management.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum 7-8 years of experience in engineering design in Oil & Gas or Power sectors is preferred.
* Proactive, with initiative, able to work independently and in teams.
* Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
* Willing to undertake short and long-term national and international trips.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
During project execution, the Senior Instrumentation Engineer will:
1. Coordinate with Project Manager and Department Head on project strategy and schedule.
2. Ensure discipline activities align with schedule, project, safety, and technological standards.
3. Collaborate with other discipline leaders.
4. Identify deviations from scope and assess impacts.
5. Interface with Customers, Vendors, and Manufacturers on instrumentation topics.
6. Provide expertise for design and development phases.
7. Review and approve project documentation.
8. Contribute to safety and risk assessments, including HazOp, HazId, and SIL assignments.
9. Support procurement through technical evaluations.
As part of the Process Automation and Electrical Department, the engineer will also:
1. Provide feedback to improve team efficiency.
2. Assist in developing procedures, standards, and instructions.
3. Mentor colleagues and share knowledge.
4. Stay updated on instrumentation design and promote improvements.
5. Continuously develop technical and managerial skills.
Additional Tasks
* Represent the department in technical meetings with clients or manufacturers.
* Serve as a company representative at plant sites.
* Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
* Review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
* Assist clients during plant operation and data collection.
* Represent the company during manufacturer inspections.
* Support the Commercial Department with technical proposals and meetings.
