Under the direction of the Product & Services Marketing Director and the supervision of the Group Pricing Expert, the Pricing Manager will be responsible of the pricing strategy and positioning of the Italian subsidiary, in line with the Group pricing strategy. The person will as well support the development of the pricing strategy of the company.
- The Pricing Manager will improve pricing intelligence within the Marketing team and will be responsible for the annual pricing processes, as well as on-going daily pricing support. He/she will be a unique point of contact for all pricing topics.
- The Pricing Manager will provide support to the commercial department and other relevant departments in order to optimize sales and margin. He/she will work on opportunities to improve the company's profitability.
- The Pricing Manager will work with the Category/Product Managers in the analysis and recommendation of price list adjustments, based on the desired product strategy.
- Good technical skills need to be combined with good communication and presentation skills. He/she will be doing presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Provide to local & Group Management all support to analyze and improve current pricing policy
- Update and maintain key information to support pricing activities, like product sensitivity, customer segmentation, peer pricing, minimum price
- Coordinate the usage of pricing benchmark tool to collect information related to competitors' prices
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the team
- Manage and coach the pricing team
- Work closely and coordinate price increases with Product Managers
- Write down and update pricing procedures and documentation
- Set up KPI's, dashboards to monitor pricing adherence and inconsistencies. Provide ongoing analysis and business case simulations
- Develop the right tools to manage prices throughout the product lifecycle
- Participate in Group pricing activities, including process improvements, best practices follow up, pricing strategy improvement and pricing communication.
- Ad Hoc reporting, analysis and recommendation.
- Occasional contact with external consultants (for IT tools and pricing strategy)
- Occasional contact with customers (surveys, quotes )
**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
- Can drive proposals through creativity and innovation
- Hands-on attitude, proactive and result oriented
- Has good communications skills and team mindset
- Analytical thinker, head for numbers and mass of information
- Familiar with pricing and marketing support
- Thorough, dependable, inquisitive, open minded
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- 3 to 5 years' experience in pricing or related area (business analyst, marketing analyst, quotes, sales budgeting, consulting support based on business intelligence).
