Applications are invited for a PhD position at the University of Bologna, Italy. The envisaged duration is 3 years, to start in November 2026. The deadline to apply is March 30.
The selected student is expected to work on theoretical astroparticle physics related to dark sector extensions of the Standard Model. The research project will consider also their cosmological, astrophysical and laboratory signatures, including the study of cosmological phase transitions and the related production of gravitational waves. The position is partly funded by the ERC AdG “DarkSHunt” with PI Silvia Pascoli, who will be the main supervisor. Selection will be based on qualifications (CV including physics interests and motivation to apply, degrees and exams, description of master thesis, publications if any) and up to 3 letters of recommendations, followed by an interview for short-listed candidates which will take place online.
