The HSE Specialist will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving our HSE programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
The HSE Specialist manages Environment, Health, and Safety issues in the Textile Division. The person supports the HSE Manager of the Textile Division in implementing company guidelines on OSH and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations within their assigned perimeter.
In coordination with the HSE Manager, the person supports the Employer and Delegated Managers in Risk Assessment and liaises with technical staff and Local Authorities.
Job Responsibilities
* Ensure the update and implementation of company HSE guidelines within the Textile Division;
* Monitor applicable regulations in the HSE area and disseminate company directives and training programs;
* Assist in mapping processes and developing procedures and instructions in HSE, ensuring consistency;
* Ensure compliance with legal provisions on Health, Safety, and Environment, and monitor their application;
* Support the maintenance of the Integrated Health, Safety, and Environment Management System;
* Promote the proper maintenance of plants, machines, and work equipment to ensure safe conditions;
* Inspect workplaces for compliance with health, safety, ergonomics, accessibility, fire safety, and evacuation standards;
* Analyze accidents and injuries, recommend improvements, and promote safety culture;
* Conduct audits and inspections, identify non-compliance, and develop improvement plans;
* Assist in managing the HSE budget in collaboration with the HSE Manager.
Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field;
* At least 3 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in manufacturing;
* Deep knowledge of HSE regulations and standards;
* Professional certifications such as ASPP are advantageous;
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
* Experience with HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) is desirable;
* Knowledge of sustainability principles and practices.
