Position Summary : Establishes, implements, and audits programs and procedures to ensure Andrew Corporation complies with governmental rules and regulations regarding import/export administration and control. Responsibilities : Analyze company and customer needs, research transportation methods, and audit carrier costs and performance to ensure the lowest cost transportation. Identify and select carriers/forwarders based on shipment requirements. Address queries related to import/export processes and manage resolutions. Coordinate with internal and external customers, freight forwarders, and other departments to ensure smooth shipment logistics. Audit inbound and outbound shipments against freight invoices and provide transportation quotes. Trace and resolve shipment issues. Provide expertise and recommendations on import/export regulations, including duty treatment, quotas, restrictions, trade agreements, and compliance requirements. Manage domestic and international shipments ensuring legal compliance. Develop cost-saving initiatives and advise on alternative logistics methods to reduce processing and freight costs. Maintain accurate export declarations and support the administration department in customs clearance processes, including POD verification. Monitor trade legislation and regulations, providing analysis and recommendations to sourcing and supply chain management. Manage updates to the customs compliance manual based on operational and regulatory changes. Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). Requirements : Degree in Business, Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience in import/export or supply chain environments, with proficiency in compliance systems and SAP. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Strong interpersonal skills across various levels and disciplines. Knowledge of international trade terms, customs procedures, and export licensing.
