EMEA Financial Controller (Fixed-term contract)

Moleskine is looking for an EMEA Financial Controller to join our team on a fixed-term contract, based in our headquarters in Milan.
In this role, you will play a key part in driving financial performance across the EMEA region. You’ll be responsible for overseeing controlling activities, ensuring accurate P&L; management, and delivering insightful analysis to support strategic and operational decisions. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will work closely with commercial and leadership teams.
Your main responsibilities
Own and analyze the EMEA P&L;, including variance analysis vs budget and forecast
Lead and coordinate Budget and Forecast processes (BGT & Rolling Forecast)
Monitor sales performance, margins, and cost structure, identifying risks and opportunities
Develop ad hoc financial reports and KPIs for both management and HQ
Partner with commercial teams to support business initiatives and strategic decisions
Supervise and develop a junior controlling resource
Support management with financial evaluations, scenario analysis, and business cases
What we are looking for
~1-3 years of experience in Controlling or Finance roles
~ Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or similar
~ Background in Financial Controlling, Business Controlling, or FP&A; within structured organizations
~ Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems and BI/reporting tools
~ Strong analytical mindset and business orientation
~ Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
~ Proactive attitude and a collaborative, solution-driven approach
