We are looking for an experienced Data Architect (Middle Office, Back Office). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IT solution.
You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing IT solutions for post-trade securities processing while ensuring compliance with regulations
What you'll be doing
* Design and implement solutions to meet specific business needs, working closely with clients to translate business requirements into technical specification and solution design
* Experience in design and architecture of complex data integration systems (batch and streaming)
* Experience in design and architecture of securities and investment platforms on their integration (batch and streaming) with upstream and downstream systems
* Propose solutions into systems qualities and repeatable design strategies and patterns, such as adaptability, scalability, availability, and reusability.
* Design and implement data processing pipelines (stream and batch)
* Build, architect, design and implement federated data processing and storage systems
* Use native cloud development framework for all data needs (Processing, Storage, Monitoring, Governance)
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in designing and implementing hybrid data architectures (GCP and/or Azure & on-premises) ensuring seamless data migration and integration.
* Experience designing and implementing API-based integrations and real-time data streaming between systems
Required Skills
* Strong functional expertise in securities and investment domain, including settlement, trade processing, corporate actions, and reconciliation.
* Hands-on experience with Google Cloud data services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Spanner, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
* Expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for both batch (Apache Beam, Dataflow) and streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Spark Streaming) use cases.
Technical Skills
* Deep knowledge of data modeling (relational, NoSQL, graph), storage optimization, and partitioning strategies for high-performance analytics and processing.
* Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering and automation.
Governance & Compliance
* Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards in financial services (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239, MiFID II).
Additional Requirements:
* Advanced level of English language (written and spoken - MUST)
* German Full working proficiency (written and spoken - NICE TO HAVE)
* Italian Full working proficiency (written and spoken - NICE TO HAVE)
* University degree
