They have a range of duties, including administrative, leadership and practical tasks. Their main function is to ensure that they serve and run the bar efficiently and that the customer has the best possible experience. They are also responsible for the success and development of their staff. Their main duties and responsibilities include: /p ul liLeading a small team of bar by example, pitching in to help with drink mixing or table service where necessary /li liEnsuring that the front-of-house is fully staffed, particularly during peak times /li liMeeting sales and profitability targets /li liCreating a welcoming environment for customers /li liEnsuring consistent, high quality beverages are served to customers /li liDealing with customer feedback and providing adequate solutions to customer complaints /li liCreating a positive work environment for staff and encouraging their career development /li liMonitoring inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock /li liOverseeing the cleanliness of staff and the physical bar area and paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations /li /ul pA Bar Manager needs at least two years of experience working within a busy bar, pub or restaurant environment. Excellent knowledge of the day-to-day running of a bar is essential for success in the role. /p pA Bar Manager requires leadership experience and should have proven experience managing accounts, taking payments and setting budgets.
