Job Description
* The ideal candidate should have expert-level knowledge of Oracle technology, capable of handling complex issues independently, providing resolutions within agreed SLAs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to policies and procedures.
* Candidates with creative thinking, a willingness to bring innovations, and passion for challenging initiatives will be preferred.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Provide production support for Oracle databases and act as a Subject Matter Expert for the support team.
* Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement permanent fixes.
* Investigate and resolve database performance issues.
* Lead the database team during crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls, and mentor team members.
* Maintain complex High Availability Replication setups.
* Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery planning.
* Identify automation opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes.
Required Skills:
* Strong technical knowledge of Oracle concepts such as RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate.
* Expertise in Oracle versions 12c and 19c, including OEM.
* Experience in building and deploying solutions, capacity planning, and DR planning.
* Troubleshooting performance issues and designing backup and recovery strategies.
* Expertise in role swap failover planning and implementation.
* Knowledge of database space management and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Tanium.
Additional Skills:
* Knowledge of Oracle Cloud, UNIX-based OS, MongoDB, Db2 LUW.
* Familiarity with Agile practices and DevOps tools.
Soft Skills and Behavioral Qualities:
* Efficient task management and ownership.
* Proactive approach and clear, timely communication with customers, team members, and management.
Mandatory Skills:
* Oracle Cloud Services, Oracle RAC, RMAN, GoldenGate, Oracle DB Administration, Oracle Linux Administration.
