Project Manager
A leading organization is seeking a Project Manager to lead a 2-year modernization project, involving the replacement of all systems and modernization of their entire application process.
As a Project Manager in this role, you will be responsible for finding and selecting vendors, managing budgets, project plans, and working closely with internal teams and vendors. You will also be responsible for prioritizing tasks, managing risks, and ensuring the successful implementation of the new system.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of vendors and internal staff to ensure successful project implementation
* Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication
* Identify and mitigate risks, and develop mitigation plans
* Ensure the successful implementation of the new system, including testing and quality assurance
* Collaborate with the vendor team to ensure a smooth implementation process
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the insurance industry
* Strong technical and IT project implementation experience
* Experience with data projects, including data migrations and data warehouses
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to drive results-oriented projects and teams
Nice to Have:
* PMP or other certification
* Experience with Agile methodologies
* Strong testing and quality assurance skills
* Experience with large system upgrades and implementations
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills
