The Chips-IT Foundation seeks a Senior Research Engineer with a strong background in RF and millimeter-wave IC design to lead cutting-edge development of phased array transceivers for applications in 6G, advanced radar, and sensing systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead R&D activities on mmWave integrated circuits for phased arrays and radar systems. Design and validate complex RF/mmWave building blocks and full transceivers in CMOS and SiGe BiCMOS. Guide system-level integration with 3D and hybrid packaging approaches. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to innovation strategy. Supervise Master’s and PhD students in RFIC design topics. Protect intellectual property and publish impactful research. Track emerging trends to shape future research directions. Required Qualifications: PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar, with specialization in RF/mmWave ICs. Strong record of publications or patents, and demonstrated R&D achievements. Deep knowledge of IC design and EM simulation tools (Cadence, Keysight, Mentor…). Hands-on experience with RF/mmWave measurements and lab instrumentation. Knowledge of silicon processes and advanced packaging technologies (e.g., 3D integration, SiGe BiCMOS, CMOS). Leadership mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to mentor junior team members. Visionary, independent thinker with a drive for technological excellence.
