Overview Mechanical Design Engineer – Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent. Package: Competitive Salary Benefits (including company gym access). We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop and test mechanical systems for ground and space-based optical applications. You’ll work with manufacturing, optical, electronic, and AIT engineers to deliver high-performance solutions using cutting-edge manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Create manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and integration procedures. Perform structural analysis (static and dynamic) of mechanical assemblies. Participate in technical meetings with customers and suppliers. Conduct structural and thermal testing. Prepare technical documentation, including design reports and test procedures. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent). 5 years of experience in space or defense projects. Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred). Knowledge of engineering drawing standards. Experience with structural analysis tools (Femap & Nastran preferred, or Ansys). Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Team-oriented mindset and commitment to professional growth. Experience in opto-mechanics and mechanical systems. Knowledge of metallic and composite materials manufacturing. Understanding of thermal analysis. Experience within space systems and engineering is beneficial.
