Ph3Job Description /h3 pWithin our AHL division (Appliances, HVAC and Lighting), our vision is to enable safe and high-performing products to enter the global markets by applying normative requirements and standards. /p pWe are looking to appoint an bEngineer (m/f/i) with electric background /b to join our electrical controls team based in bCarugate (Milan) /b and work on a bhybrid basis /b. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liIndependently determines project scope, performs product evaluation, drafts test plans and defines samples requirements by analyzing client requests and standard requirements; /li liOperates within but not limited to the North America safety scheme mainly using UL/IEC 60730-1 family of standards; /li liAutonomously determines project effort and time scheduling; /li liCommunicates with clients to share scheduling progress, explain UL procedures and requirements, and discuss technical issues; /li liInteracts with laboratory activities by preparing testing documentation and instructions for lab technicians; /li liDevelops customized test methods and set-ups for safety and performance testing; /li liProvides technical assistance to laboratory and/or field staff; /li liServes as Project Handler and may sign as Reviewer as assigned; /li liIntegrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job; /li liProposes development of new and/or revised UL requirements; /li liProjects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites; /li liMay represent UL at industry-related functions such as seminars and trade shows; /li liMay interact with global technical leaders for specific product categories or requirements; /li liMay train office, field, and laboratory staff and entry-level engineers. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster or bachelor degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), and/or directly related work experience; /li liMinimum 2 years of work-related experience; /li liDemonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematics and bill of materials; /li liItalian language (minimum C1) and English fluent; /li liDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service; /li liDemonstrated ability to successfully partner with engineering and other laboratory personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality; /li liEffective communication skills and ability to interact with international customers and colleagues; /li liAttitude toward continuous research and learning of standard applicability to new and innovative product architectures; /li liAttitude toward working in an international and multicultural team. /li /ul h3Plus item for Candidates /h3 ul liKnowledge in electronic controls is considered a plus; /li liExperience with UL/IEC/EN standards is also a plus; /li liBasic knowledge of laboratory equipment is considered a plus; /li liComing from the TIC sector is a plus; /li liExperience in functional safety evaluation / safety software programming is a plus. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
