About the Role
As a Junior Controller, you will support the Finance Manager in overseeing financial performance, monitoring budgets and business plans, and preparing insightful reports. You will analyze cost variances, contribute to month-end closing activities, and support forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning. You will work with cross‑functional teams to provide visibility into financial data and help drive informed business decisions. We offer an excellent opportunity to build a solid foundation in controlling within an international environment.
You will report to the Finance Manager and be located at Monfalcone. You will offer a flexible work model (mobile/hybrid). During the initial onboarding phase, we require a strong onsite presence to support training and integration with the team. Following this period, we may consider up to one or two days of remote working per week, depending on business needs and the level of independence achieved in the role.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze financial and accounting data, preparing operational reports to support management reviews and business decisions
Support month-end closing activities, including accruals, journal entries, and monitoring financial results
Perform variance analysis between actuals and budget/forecast, identifying key drivers and deviations
Monitor capital expenditures and track actual spending, including capitalization processes
Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems, supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in finance, controlling, or audit (Big4 or similar environments prefer experience)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Intermediate English proficiency (B1 level)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting systems (SAP is a plus)
Experience preparing and delivering presentations based on financial analysis
