A Marketing & PR Manager plays a crucial role in developing and implementing the annual marketing and PR plan, driving key objectives, current initiatives, and relevant activities related directly to the hotel. The role will be responsible for leading the hotel’s marketing and PR team and ensuring the department performs an integral role in bringing together all functional areas to optimize commercial targets. What will I be doing As Marketing & PR Manager, you will develop and implement the marketing plan and activities for the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to all relevant target markets, and address hotel business needs. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: Business Function Develop, proactively manage, and implement the annual hotel marketing and PR plan, including media relations, social media, internal communications, eCommerce, brand recognition, and loyalty marketing within budget guidelines. Measure key performance indicators related to all marketing and PR activities, promotions, and campaigns, and produce performance reports for stakeholders. Manage the rollout of marketing and PR initiatives to support the hotel in meeting targets, leveraging regional marketing, corporate communications, eCommerce, marketing operations, strategic partnerships, and HHonors. Oversee the execution of promotional activities across all channels, ensuring brand adherence and effectiveness. Manage media relations, including press kits, releases, photo libraries, brochures, newsletters, and key personnel bios. Coordinate media visits, develop media contacts, manage press conferences, and monitor local media events and activities. Pitch newsworthy stories related to the hotel’s various aspects, including MICE, F&B, rooms, spa, architecture, design, and corporate responsibility. Support sales and F&B teams with marketing collateral and initiatives. Ensure all collateral conforms to brand standards and corporate guidelines, staying within budget. Support brand campaigns and initiatives, ensuring effective rollout and appropriate tone of voice. Manage internal communications, updating regional offices on local stories, awards, and sponsorships. Develop and manage social media strategies to drive engagement and loyalty, growing followers, and responding to customer posts and complaints. Managing Execution Achieve performance goals and PR objectives set by the Line Manager. Oversee marketing and PR projects, ensuring resource and budget compliance. Share local news and stories affecting the hotel across the region. Represent marketing and PR in hotel meetings, identifying revenue opportunities. Analyze competitive environment and consumer trends to inform strategies. Support in-house merchandising and ensure brand compliance across all initiatives. Lead content management across all channels, including website, OTAs, social media, and partnerships. Conduct regular audits to meet regional and global standards. Participate in industry events, training, and trade shows. Manage crisis communications in coordination with corporate communications. Uphold Hilton’s core values.
