We're a dynamic team on a mission to provide better healthcare options for Houstonians! /p h3We are Looking for: /h3 pSomeone who is an experienced Medical Assistant for a multispecialty medical practice. The medical assistant should perform a supportive role in delivering comprehensive care to the patient that is safe, effective, and efficient. /p h3Responsibilities: /h3 ul liRooming the patient /li liInterview/update patient’s chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and take vitals. /li liPrepares patient charts a week in advance and verifies benefits reports. /li liPrepares patient charts a week in advance. /li liScanning documents to appropriate patient charts. /li liMakes sure all rooms are stocked and clean before clinic, after each patient, and at the end of the day. /li liRefill patient medications as directed by a physician and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination for medications. /li liEnsures that physician is in-network and authorized/up-to-date referral is in the patient's chart. /li liAssist the physician in the exam room with any wound care and/or procedures. /li liFollow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation /li liEducates and informs the patient of any DI, labs, referrals, and procedures physicians might have ordered. /li liSchedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient. /li liObtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed. /li liMain fax line– Distribute faxes to appropriate team member(s) /li liPerforms related duties as required. /li /ul h3Benefits: /h3 ul li401(k) /li li401(k) matching /li liDental Insurance /li liDisability insurance /li liHealth insurance /li liLife insurance /li liPaid time off /li liVision insurance /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liCertified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization or a graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program /li liMust be bilingual in Spanish /li liMust be a pre‑medical student planning to apply to medical school within the next 1–2 years; applicants currently in a gap year are strongly preferred /li liExperience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills /li liAbility to multitask and prioritize effectively /li liStrong attention to detail and accuracy /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications /li liKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
