Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join their team. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be part of the Production Department supporting daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong team-oriented mindset to succeed in this fast-paced environment.
Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Norman, OK
Pay Range: $18.00/hour (Additional $1.50 shift differential for night shifts)
Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
(Work 36 hours; paid for 40. Additional shifts/overtime may be required.)
What's the Job?
- Support the manufacturing process by assembling components and/or equipment based on drawings and/or instructions. Set up, operate, and monitor production machines according to company standards and safety procedures.
- Check for and obtain required tools, equipment, and materials needed for production runs.
- Monitor equipment performance and notify supervisors of machine issues, part shortages, or production interruptions.
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and production standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines.
- Package completed units or parts as required, including labeling and documentation.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience, based on role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic measurements (decimals, fractions, and scales).
- Experience using hand tools and pneumatic tools safely.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and grow through on-the-job training.
