You will also be part of the team working in a matrix department, building strong and valid relationships with other DET RD functions. /ppbWhat will you do: /b /pullipTranslate project or product requirements into control algorithm specifications (performance expectations, interfaces, parametrization, complexity), and plan the steps to assess, design, test the proposed solution, coordinating with the relevant stakeholders. /p /lilipChoose the right control algorithm, signal processing and machine learning methodology to develop algorithmic platforms that, besides addressing the specific use-case, may be reused in a wider domain of applications, preferably cross product category. /p /lilipDevise new advanced control algorithm solutions to improve the state of the art in terms of performance, robustness and ease of calibration. /p /lilipDevelop intelligent features for the appliances, ranging from consumer facing solutions to predictive maintenance capabilities and virtual sensing. /p /lilipMaintain the proprietary Electric Motor Control platform to integrate new features, to enable driving new motor types, to improve performance, to optimize its architecture and simplify its parametrization. /p /lilipMaintain and update existing control algorithms, resolving bugs and identifying opportunities for algorithm improvement in terms of complexity reduction, performance increase and cost reduction for the final target appliance. /p /lilipContribute to the definition of a test plan to validate the developed algorithms and the algorithms platforms and execute the testing and validation both in simulation, hardware in the loop, and on real products. /p /lilipDevelop and calibrate dynamical plant models of physical systems (mainly but not limited to thermal and electro-thermal processes) to perform virtual tests of control algorithms for appliances /p /lilipMaster and foster the adoption of the Model Based Design (MBD) approach to develop the control algorithms and to automatically generate the code to be integrated in the FW and contribute to the maintenance of the MBD framework /p /lilipConfigure and verify the consistency of the process of Automatic Code Generation for a control algorithm according to coding rules, preparing interfaces with the FW. /p /li /ulpbWho you are: /b /pullipMaster’s degree in Electric/Electronic/Mechatronic/Automation Engineering or Physics or Mathematics or similar technical fields. PhD degree or equivalent is highly recommended. /p /lilipPost-Doc or 3 years of relevant Industrial experience is highly recommended, ideally in automotive or household sectors, robotics and plant automation /p /lilipVery good knowledge of linear and non-linear controls, dynamic systems, estimation, optimization /p /lilipAbility in data analysis and understanding of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (Deep Learning) techniques. /p /lilipProficient user of Matlab / Simulink, Knowledge of Python is seen as a plus /p /lilipKnowledge of microcontroller, C language programming, Model Based Design approach /p /lilipIn your career, you should have consistently designed and validated in practice, be it appliances or industrial automation controls, embedded control systems and/or process control algorithms /p /lilipCapable to inspire and engage people while fostering a culture of accountability and ownership /p /lilipCapable to react positively to the new unknown or ambiguous situation and adapt accordingly /p /lilipFluent English. /p /li /ulpbWhere you'll be: /b /ppYou will be based in Electrolux DET office in Porcia (PN), almost 1 hour distance from Venice, where we also have the washing machines and dryers production site.
