Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growth small‑ and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level customers, including public sector.
Responsibilities
Own the technical engagement and drive customer success.
Develop deep expertise on the AWS technology stack and how applications and services are constructed using it.
Solve complex technical challenges so customers can focus on business.
Craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
Lead technical solution discussions and dive deep into details with customer teams.
Build relationships to understand customers and partners, influencing stakeholders from technical teams to executives.
Accelerate adoption of AWS services on a day‑to‑day basis.
Act as a thought leader—educate, share best practices, present at events, write white papers, blogs, and run workshops.
Influence product and service direction by gathering customer feedback and collaborating with engineering and service teams.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
Cloud technology certification such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering.
AWS certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or a similar cloud certification.
Experience explaining complex technical concepts to diverse business and technical audiences.
Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
Experience architecting or operating solutions built on any cloud provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
15 years’ experience as a Solution Architect or related role.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in roles such as Technology Architect, Consultant, Cloud Architect, Technical Lead, Software Developer, Engineering Lead, Sales Engineer, Pre‑Sales Engineer, or Systems Engineer.
Deep understanding in one or more technology areas (software development/architecture, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
Ability to create proof of concepts, demos, or scripts from scratch or from reusable components.
Understanding and articulation of common architectural patterns and design principles.
Lead on a complex technical project involving multiple teams.
Creation of reusable technical content that is easily adopted by others.
