AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We tackle complex challenges across the supply chain and are looking for talented people who want to help.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.
Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and conduct root‐cause analysis of equipment failures.
Handle manual lifting of equipment within regulatory weight limits.
Work rotating shifts, including morning, late, night, and weekends, to maintain 24/7 data‐center operations.
Collaborate with other solution groups on complex infrastructure issues.
Participate in safety initiatives and uphold a world‐class safety culture.
Ensure the maintenance of data‐center infrastructure across AWS Cloud regions.
Work & Schedule
This is a 100% onsite, in‐person position due to the hands‐on nature of managing mission‐critical infrastructure.
Location & Travel
Our data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, with limited public transportation access. Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time, and a valid EU driving licence is required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Experience troubleshooting IT hardware.
Completed formal education, apprenticeship, or training in an IT‐related field.
Good command of English (the workplace and recruitment process will be in English).
Valid driving licence in Italy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or equivalent formal qualification in an IT‐related field.
Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols and data‐center environments.
