Overall Purpose of Role The CDE Manager is responsible for cable systems design and engineering, including defining technical solutions that comply with customer requirements and environmental constraints. Activities involve producing technical documentation for customers and specifications for internal or subcontractor use. Key Duties & Responsibilities Develop, implement, and update the strategy for the Common Data Environment in alignment with project and organizational goals. Lead the setup, configuration, and deployment of the CDE platform, ensuring it meets project requirements. Oversee organization, storage, and retrieval of project data within the CDE, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Promote collaboration among project teams by establishing workflows and protocols for data sharing and communication. Serve as the primary point of contact for CDE-related inquiries, providing support and guidance to stakeholders. Develop and conduct training programs for staff and stakeholders on the effective use of the CDE. Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and policies related to data management. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes based on user feedback and technological advancements. Generate and analyze reports on CDE usage, performance, and data management. Collaborate with IT and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Oversee document control processes, ensuring effective management of project documentation within the CDE. Manage change requests related to the CDE, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and implementation. Identify potential risks in data management and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure seamless integration of the CDE with other project management tools and systems used within the organization. Qualifications & Experience Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field BIM Certification / BIM Master or equivalent Full proficiency in both written and spoken English Minimum Experience and Skills At least 2 years of experience in the engineering or construction industry Proven experience in large linear infrastructural projects Experience with BIM processes within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment Experience using CDE platforms (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud) and knowledge of other CDE solutions Additional Information Prysmian values diversity and is committed to an inclusive work environment.
