ResponsibilitiesCreating the requirements for new and current products to permit the design and validation of the electrical hardware and control software of the combine harvester.Providing embedded software solutions (C/C++ or model-based) to ensure superior performance, durability, reliability, and quality.Developing and maintaining machine control software and GUI applications based on C/C++ and model-based code; assisting testers, engineers, or other departments with problem analysis and resolution.Creating system detailed design specifications and interface control specifications for functional systems.Conducting requirements specification design reviews, risk analysis, and system DFMEAs; coordinating safety reviews according to ISO 25119.Defining and validating integration of internal and external supplier components into harvesting equipment.Specifying required sensors or developing sensors with internal and external suppliers; interfacing with electrical and mechanical design teams to define required interfaces and requirements.QualificationsKnowledgeable about machinery, automotive, aviation, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; experience defining software and hardware interfaces.Knowledge of CAN Bus communication for agricultural machinery (e.g., ISO 11789, SAE J1939).Knowledge of safety standards for machinery (e.g., ISO 12100, ISO 25119); experience with software version control tools (e.g., SVN, GitHub) and application lifecycle management tools (e.g., Polarion).
