Purpose of the position:
As Painting and Coating Engineer, you will join our Department/Function PIPEF, in the business line Asset Based Services, (no Drilling).
How can you support us?
Responsibilities
As Painting and Coating Engineer, the candidate will work in the PIPEF/Offshore Pipeline Technologies department, within the Asset-Based Services business line (no Drilling), responsible for:
* Engineering activities related to the application of anti-corrosion coatings for pipes, structures, and welded joints in all phases of offshore oil and gas pipeline construction projects;
* Material and equipment selection;
* Review of project documentation and relevant international standards;
* Support to the preparation of quotations;
* Preparation of project specifications, procedures, and inspection plans;
* Preparation of specifications and technical documentation for equipment engineering: The candidate may be dedicated to the development of specific, high-tech automated equipment to be used for field joint coating;
* Support and coordination during Project qualifications and startup phases.
What are we looking for?
Education:
Master Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
Background:
0-2 years as a painting/coating engineer or similar
Languages:
English B1
Technical Knowledge
* Good competences in the use of Office systems;
* Good knowledge of materials engineering: Deep understanding of the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of metallic and polymeric materials;
* Knowledge of the main manufacturing processes in the Oil and Gas field;
* General knowledge of corrosion principles;
* Knowledge of CAD: Ability to draft simple drawings and provide instructions for their preparation or modifications.
Soft Skills
* Attitude to teamwork (physical and remote) and organization;
* Proactive approach, focus on developing solutions, problem solving, and completing assigned tasks;
* Practical and concrete attitude;
* Interest in technological development;
* Openness to flexibility and open-mindedness.
