The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute supported by the Italian government, aiming to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary approach, combining genomics, computational biology, neuroscience, and health data science. HT fosters collaborative research and provides national facilities for advanced life science technologies. HT is seeking a Storage Engineer for the Data Centre Facility. The role involves designing, managing, and optimizing the Institute’s storage infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security, supporting research and administrative operations. Main Responsibilities include: Designing and managing enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage) Monitoring storage health, capacity, and performance Implementing best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection Collaborating with ICT teams to troubleshoot and optimize storage systems Maintaining documentation, policies, and security practices for storage infrastructure Mandatory Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a storage engineer in an enterprise environment Expertise in SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, S3, and related technologies Experience with enterprise storage platforms like Dell EMC, NetApp, Hitachi Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and cloud storage services Scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) Good English communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in relevant fields Certifications such as NCDA, Dell EMC ProvenProfessional, AWS Storage Specialty Experience with Tape Libraries and ITIL Organizational Skills: Strong problem-solving and proactive approach Effective collaboration in multidisciplinary teams Adaptability and willingness to learn Application Instructions: Send a full CV and motivation letter in English online Why Human Technopole?
