You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. /p pWe are growing rapidly in existing regions as well as expanding into new regions. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 pAs a member of this team, you will work with regional AWS leadership to: /p ul liServe as a key business partner working directly with regional AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations /li liReport weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics /li liManage the financial planning process. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions /li liBe an integral member in the monthly financial close process and perform ad‑hoc projects and analysis as needed /li liAnalyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives /li liMonitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast‑growing, global AWS business /li liPreparing detailed financial models for business segments, drive business initiatives, and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficiencies /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent /li liExperience in tax, finance or a related analytical field /li liExperience in accounts receivable or account payable /li liExperience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses /li liExperience in financial modeling, PL management or analysis /li liExperience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis /li liExperience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes /li liExperience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liMBA, or CPA /li liExperience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results /li liExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) /li liExperience with VBA, Python, SQL, or other database language /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
